The things people ask before switching to Booked — data, payments, migration and how it runs on your site.

Questions

The things people ask before installing.

Does Booked work with my theme?

Yes. The booking widget is rendered by the plugin and styled from your own colour settings, so it inherits your site's fonts and sits in any theme. You drop one shortcode into a page, post or block and it's live.

Who checks the AI notes?

You do. Every note arrives as a draft attached to the booking, and nothing is written to the customer record until a human reviews and approves it. It saves you the typing rather than replacing your clinical judgement.

Can I use my own Stripe account?

Yes. Either let Booked process cards for you for a small percentage fee, or connect your own Stripe, Mollie or other provider key and keep your existing arrangement.

Can I run more than one branch or location?

Yes. Locations, staff and opening hours are all separate, and availability is calculated per staff member per location. One licence covers one domain, however many branches sit behind it.

What happens to my bookings if I cancel?

They stay where they've always been — in your database, exportable at any time. The plugin stops taking new bookings and the managed video, SMS and AI features switch off.

Is Booked suitable for NHS-funded services?

It handles the booking, eligibility screening and record-keeping side, and services can be set to take no payment. It isn't a substitute for your clinical or NHS reporting systems — check your own information-governance requirements before using it for a commissioned service.
